Waranara School

After nine years of Good Shepherd operating Waranara School, the governance of the school has transferred to MacKillop Family Services and has become MacKillop Education Waranara School.

Waranara’s current curriculum, timetable and staffing under principal Rachael Peet remains the same during this period of transition, ensuring continuity for our students.

Waranara will continue supporting students who face challenges in mainstream schooling, now under the specialist education arm of MacKillop Family Services, MacKillop Education.

Current students and those joining in future will benefit from MacKillop Education’s considerable experience delivering therapeutic and trauma-informed education.

MacKillop Education provides students with a unique learning experience under their Reframing Learning and Teaching Environments (ReLATE) model. This model is backed by research and evidence and is designed to support schools to create preconditions for improved teaching, learning and wellbeing.
